Enderby residents are urged to get the community ready for spring.

The Our Enderby Clean-Up Challenge and Enderby Volunteer Fair will unite April 22.

“One of our community’s greatest assets is our strong volunteer base. Merging these two events will foster a fun, community-minded day where local volunteerism can be embraced,” said Mayor Greg McCune.

The day will begin with the Clean-Up Challenge from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Participants will gather in the city hall parking lot and gloves, bags, and garbage pickers will be provided.

The Clean-Up Challenge will be followed by the volunteer fair and appreciation barbecue at noon in Belvidere Park. Clean-Up participants and those attending the volunteer fair will be treated to hot dogs and refreshments courtesy of the Enderby Lions Club.

“The volunteer fair is an opportunity to easily and quickly explore the wide variety of volunteer opportunities in the community, all without any pressure or commitment,” said McCune.

Those Enderby-based groups that want a booth at the volunteer fair are asked to RSVP to Kurt Inglis at kinglis@cityofenderby.com or 250-838-7230 no later than April 15.
