Evacuation alert lifted for 34 properties in Spallumcheen

Evacuation alerts have been lifted for Spallumcheen residents near Round Lake Road.

The township rescinded the alert Sunday morning.

The alert was issued the evening of July 8 for 34 properties.

The Horseshoe Lake wildfire is estimated at a little over three hectares and not expected to grow.

The trails on Mount Rose Swanson have been reopened to the public, but users are asked to remain diligent.
