Wildfire evacuees staying in Vernon are being informed of some changes.
The Emergency Social Services reception centre at the Dogwood Gym, in the Vernon Recreation Complex, will change hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning Monday.
The current hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Evacuees arriving after hours can call 250-309-0638.
Vernon ESS has registered 881 evacuees from the Cariboo region in the last week. Evacuees are reminded to visit the reception centre every week to extend services.
