Extra days to dispose of yard waste

The Greater Vernon and Armstrong-Spallumcheen landfills will be open Sunday and Nov. 29

There’s a bit more time to get rid of your yard waste.

Two additional days of service will be added to the free yard waste drop-off at the Greater Vernon and Armstrong-Spallumcheen landfills — Sunday and Nov. 29.

The sites will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and they will also be open for full landfill services.

“These two additional days of service are to provide additional access for customers wishing to take advantage of the free fall yard waste drop-off, which ends on Nov. 30,” said Dale Danallanko, recycling and disposal facilities operations manager.
