There were fewer homes constructed in Vernon during August.
According to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, there were 14 units constructed last month, down from 19 during the same month in 2014.
Of the 14 units, there were eight single-detached homes and six multiple units.
Year-to-date, there have been 180 units constructed in Vernon, up from 132 during the first eight months of 2014.
Kelowna had 94 housing starts in August, up from 92 during the same month in 2014.
Last month, there were 36 housing starts in Kamloops, up from 27, while the number of starts in Prince George went from nine to 12 units.
