Fights erupt outside Vernon nightclub

Altercations posted on social media

An altercation involving numerous people broke out on a Vernon street outside a nightclub.

The brawl happened either late Saturday night or early Sunday morning outsideStatus Nightclub on 29th Avenue.

Someone managed to capture the fight on video and post to Facebook; however it has since been removed.

The club was hosting a show featuring rap artist Merkules with Stevie Ross and guests Luca Mele and Noise.

The Vernon gig is part of a 40-city tour across Ontario and Western Canada.

It is not known at this time if there were serious injuries as a result of the fights.

Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP said they were aware of the altercation, but unaware of the video.

A request for comment from the nightclub has not been received.
