Fire roars through vehicles

Firefighters were called to the 3000 block of Davison Road before 4 a.m. Wednesday

The cause of a fire that destroyed three vehicles in Vernon is under investigation.

Flames roared through a utility-type truck, a van and a station wagon before 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 3000 block of Davison Road.

Monty Davis Sr., the property owner, says his son was first notified about the fire.

“He thought the fire started in the centre and then moved over (to the other two vehicles),” sad Davis Sr.

Hay and wood piled next to the vehicles was scorched.

Vernon Fire Department investigators were on scene Wednesday trying to determine a cause, and it’s not known if the origin of the blaze is suspicious.

The RCMP are involved in the investigation.
