A garage fire on Killarney Street in Penticton is currently under investigation.

The fire was reported just after 5 p.m. on June 1 and was quickly extinguished, but not before it completely destroyed the detached garage.

According to assistant fire chief Rob Trupp, there were no injuries and no other structures were exposed.

People on social media shared photos of the smoke from the fire visible from nearby neighbourhoods.
