Lumby residents can help those in need simply by opening their door.
The third annual Emergency Services Food Drive is happening Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Lumby and Lavington.
“Members of the police, fire department, ambulance and partners will be going door to door collecting food and donations in support of the Lumby Food Bank,” said Gary McLaughlin, one of the organizers, adding that all non-perishable food items would be most welcome.
