Kelowna fire crews battle garage blaze

Fire crews are on scene

UPDATE: 12:55 p.m.

The structure fire on Ivans Court is under investigation.

Kelowna Platoon Captain Scott Clarke said the call came in for black smoke coming from a house.

No one was home at the time, but a neighbour was able to get the door code from the homeowners to enter the garage.

A small contents fire was found inside and quickly extinguished.

Clarke said the fire does not appear suspicious in nature, but the cause has yet to be determined.

No injuries were reported.

The blaze appears to have been contained to the garage.
