It’s easy as one, two, three. The Salvation Army Food Bank can offer three easy, convenient ways to give this weekend.

Several local food drives are wrapping up over the next couple days, in support of the Salvation Army food bank.

The Superstore and Wholesale Club’s final two days of a two-week food drive are today and Saturday. Customers can make a money donation of $2 or more at the till or purchase food items and place them in collection box as you exit (bins will be in place until May 11).

Shaw’s Fill the Van day goes Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Save On Foods. You can also help make a difference without even leaving home. Simply view the Shaw Food Drive on YouTube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hkKndoXJdc) and they will donate $1 plus Campbells will donate one pound of food.

The Village Green Centre is competing with 17 centres across Canada in an effort to collect the most food by October.

“If they win – we win $10,000,” said David MacBain, Salvation Army community ministries director. “Thank you for your continued support of the Salvation Army food bank. When we ask, you respond,” said MacBain.
