North Okanagan RCMP members continue their crackdown on marijuana grow operations.

Officers from the Vernon detachment’s rural unit executed a search warrant Wednesday afternoon in the 2800 block of Heywood-Armstrong road in Falkland.

“The search located 1,854 marijuana plants in a shop on the property, and another 864 marijuana plant clones were located in a bedroom of the home,” said RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk. “So our officers confiscated more than 2,700 plants from this location.”

A 52-year-old man was arrested at the residence shortly after officers arrived at the property. He is expected to face charges of cultivation and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police note there was no Hydro bypass located at this grow operation.
