A program that helps families is getting support.

The provincial government is providing $150,000 to complete the Habitat for Humanity project on Vernon’s East Hill.

“This partnership with the province is an ongoing testament of what the B.C. government and non-profits can achieve when we work so closely together,” said Dennis Coutts, with Habitat for Humanity.

The funding will help complete the construction of a triplex. This project has also been included in the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project for 2017.
