It is not the most wonderful time of the year if you’ve had Christmas presents stolen from your vehicle.

The RCMP have issued their yearly reminder to everyone out doing their Christmas shopping that with less than 10 days left to complete your shopping, please do not leave your purchases in plain view in your vehicles.

“There are thieves who take advantage of this busy time to steal your parcels from you,” said RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk.

“Remember to keep valuables out of sight if you have a lot of parcels and can’t hide them.

“It might be best to go home and secure them instead of having a car full to invite thieves to your vehicle.”
