Huge crowds flock to the Interior Provincial Exhibition

Opening day saw 16,320 people pass through the gate at the Armstrong fair

Opening day of the Interior Provincial Exhibition was a hit.

A total of 16,320 people walked through the gate Wednesday. That compares to 16,897 on the same day last year.

“It was a really good start,” said Bryan Burns, general manager.

Strong attendance is expected until the fair ends Sunday.

“It increases as the week goes on,” said Burns.
