Hunters sent into ditch by deer

Okanagan hunters looking to bag animal swerve to avoid one on Highway 97

Talk about irony.

Two hunters, one from Vernon, the other from Kelowna, were on Highway 97 when their vehicle went off the road, 10 kilometres south of Falkland, at 6:15 a.m. Sunday. The driver swerved to avoid a deer.

Both men were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
