Inquest into the death of Lumby youth postponed

Bradley Haslam, of Lumby, died while working at Tolko's Lavington division June 15, 2013.

The B.C. Coroners Service has announced that the inquest into an industrial accidenthas been postponed.

The inquest into the death of 18-year-old Bradley Haslam was originally scheduled to begin March 31 at the courthouse in Vernon.

“It has been postponed to allow for a full and fair review of recently received additional material concerning the incident in which Mr. Haslam died,” states a release.

Haslam, of Lumby, died while working at Tolko’s Lavington division June 15, 2013.

It’s not known when a new date will be set for an inquest.

An inquest is a formal process that allows for public presentation of evidence relating to a death.
