Repairs are being completed at Kal Tire Place after a flood.

Vernon's Kal Tire Place is ready for the big leagues.

The last of the flooring at the arena is being replaced following flooding at the facility in early September.

"The final installation is expected to be completed before the weekend and prior to the Kraft Hockeyville game between the Edmonton Oilers and L.A. Kings Sunday," said Tanya Laing Gahr, with the City of Vernon.

New flooring was required on the bottom levels of Kal Tire Place, including player and referee dressing rooms, the player entrance, and east and south tunnels. A vanity in the Vernon Viper’s dressing room and the bottom 60 centimetres of any affected drywall was also replaced in the facility.

The cost of the new flooring and installation is estimated at $160,000.
