When Heather Lucy found out the tragic news that Lincoln Anderson-Fraser had been killed in a crash while riding his motorcycle, she knew she had to do something for the family.

Lucy, with ‘huge’ help from Dave at Outlaw Graphics in Keremeos created memorial stickers with funds going to help the Anderson-Fraser family with funeral expenses.

“Your kindness and generosity are so deeply appreciated,” she wrote on Facebook last week about all the stickers sold so far. Dozens of stickers have been sold and monetary donations have been coming in as well. Some stickers are still left, she added.

Lincoln was just 19 years old when he died.

According to RCMP, at approximately 3 p.m., Keremeos RCMP responded to a collision in the 1900 block of Highway 3 on Friday, June 2.

On arrival, emergency crews were already on scene conducting life-saving techniques on the injured motorcyclist but tragically he died at the scene.

Evidence at the scene indicated a vehicle had pulled onto the highway in front of his motorcycle, said police.

“We have lost so many people in the last little while, young people with their whole lives ahead of them. This one hit home because of the loss this family had a few years back,” she said.

Lucy’s husband and son both worked with Lincoln and played on a baseball team with him.

“He was a wonderful young man whose life was cut way too short,” said Lucy.

“I wanted to help. The family had enough to deal with without worrying about financial stress. We all loved Lincoln and will miss him dearly and wanted something to remember him by and memorialize his life. In such a small community, we all watch these kids grow, and what a tragedy when they leave this world.”

A family member who wanted to remain anonymous said Lincoln was ‘an amazing member of the community’ and worked as a local welder.

“He loved to sing and he had a heart that loved all and would help anyone old or young, all walks of life.”

Stickers are a minimum donation of $5.
