Lack of natural gas forces Lumby schools to close

J.W. Inglis Elementary and Charles Bloom Secondary are closed but Lavington Elementary is open

Classes have been closed in Lumby Friday.

​Due to the gas leak in Lavington Thursday and natural gas been shut off, J.W. Inglis Elementary and Charles Bloom Secondary are closed.

Teachers and CUPE staff from the two Lumby schools are asked to report to the closest school to their home for work.

Lavington Elementary is open Friday. Students from that school had to be evacuated Thursday because of the natural gas leak.
