An Okanagan Lake beach is getting some upgrades.

The City of Vernon is proceeding with improvements to the Delcliffe Road lake access, including new parking stalls, a turnaround area, fencing and signage.

“The improvements are expected to be completed in May,” said Tanya Laing Gahr, the city’s communications officer.

The project has an $83,000 budget with another $35,000 approved for parking, rockwork and archaeological work.

The Delcliffe Road project is the first of 10 lake access improvements expected by the end of 2018.
