Lake Country mail boxes hit by vandals

RCMP are unable to confirm at this time whether or not any mail was taken

RCMP are investigating after several community mail boxes were discovered damaged.

On Thursday at about 3:10 pm, the police began to receive several reports of mischief to Canada Post mail boxes on Cheryl, Darlene, Middle Bench and Oyama roads.

Not all of the mail boxes were opened.

“RCMP are unable to confirm at this time whether or not any mail was taken by the thieves,” said Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey. “

We are asking for the public’s assistance, anyone who may have surveillance cameras in those areas affected are asked to review their footage and contact police with any possible suspects or suspect vehicles.”
