Leadership bid comes to area

Conservative hopeful Dan Brooks stops in Enderby and Vernon

A B.C. Conservative leadership hopeful is bringing his bid to the North Okanagan.

Dan Brooks will take part in a luncheon Sunday at 2 p.m. at Enderby’s Howard Johnson Hotel.

On Monday, he will hold a meet-and-greet at Vernon’s Bean to Cup at 7 p.m.

This will be an opportunity for party members and residents to ask questions about Brooks’ platform.

Brooks has been endorsed by former Vernon-Monashee candidate Scott Anderson.

Brooks is from Kamloops while the other candidate is Rick Peterson of Vancouver.

The B.C. Conservative Party’s leadership convention will be held April 11.
