There are very few changes when it comes to workload at Lumby council.
Appointments to boards and committees were handed out during the inaugural meeting Monday.
“I left everyone where they are because everyone is doing a good job,” said Mayor Kevin Acton.
Returning with Acton are incumbent councillors Nick Hodge, Lori Mindnich and Randal Ostafichuk.
The new face is Coun. Julie Pilon, who takes over from Jo Anne Fisher who did not seek re-election Nov. 15.
At this point, Pilon’s only appointment is liaison to the Lumby Chamber of Commerce.
“We will be adding a couple of new positions into the term, including with the school district, so we want to keep the workload light right now,” said Acton of Pilon.
“She is a worker and she will be getting stuff.”
Acton will represent the village at the Regional District of North Okanagan while Mindnich will return to Okanagan Regional Library. Ostafichuk has been appointed to the White Valley Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee and Hodge is the liaison to the Lumby Seniors Housing Society.
