Lumby and Lavington residents have rallied.
Emergency personnel went door to door Wednesday to collect items for the Lumby Food Bank.
“The food drive collected more than 5,200 pounds of food and more than $1,000 in cash donations,” said Cst. Gary McLaughlin, one of the organizers.
“More than 100 volunteers came out in support.”
