A single-vehicle accident near Golden has claimed the life of a North Okanagan resident.
Police report that a Lumby man died Wednesday on the Trans-Canada Highway, 30 kilometres west of Golden, before 12:30 p.m.
“At this time, it would appear that the semi failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to go off road and down an embankment,” said Cpl. Jeff Watson, with the Golden RCMP.
The driver’s name has not been released and the police are investigating the collision along with the B.C. Coroners Service.
