Lumby spray park opens its gates

Parents and children ready to cool off in the village's newest amenity

Just in time for Lumby Days, the community’s new spray park opens Friday.

The project was made possible through funding from the provincial government as well as the Lumby Lion’s Club and Teddy’s Devils Martin’s Angels.

“Hard work by the Village of Lumby staff ensured the park was ready to open in time for their annual celebration,” said Tannis Nelson, with the Regional District of North Okanagan.

The spray park will be open until the September long weekend from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on September weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Aso opening Friday is adult fitness equipment in Oval Park.

“Free introductory classes for the fitness equipment will be available soon through the White Valley Community Centre,” said Nelson.
