More snow in the North Okanagan forecast

North Okanagan residents are cleaning up heavy snow after a storm hit the region Sunday night.

The North Okanagan could experience more snow after a storm passed through the region Monday night.

For Monday, Environment Canada is calling for periods of light snow this afternoon, with a daytime high of minus 3. For tonight, there will be periods of light snow and an overnight low of minus 10.

On Tuesday, the forecast is for a high of minus 7, falling to minus 11 in the afternoon. There will be an overnight low of minus 17. It should be mainly cloudy throughout the day.

At Silver Star Mountain Resort, there is a snow base of 150 centimetres as of 6:30 a.m. Monday, with 15 centimetres falling in the last 24 hours.
