Vernon residents in need will have extra time to access the help they need for Christmas.
On Dec. 4, the Salvation Army will be open and conducting hamper interviews from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for those were unable to apply during regular business hours on hamper interview days in November.
“We understand that many people have full-time jobs during the day and we want to give them the opportunity to apply if need be,” said Sted Reid, executive director.
“We also want to remind people that when they arrive to apply for a Christmas hamper, they must bring identification for everyone in the household along with all income and expenses. This will make the process of applying much smoother.”
