A Vernon motorcyclist was taken to hospital after he was knocked off his bike by a deer.
The accident happened Wednesday around 9 p.m. on Highway 97, one kilometre south of College Way.
“A deer ran out from the ditch and collided with a black Honda motorcycle, ejecting the operator of the motorcycle,” said Vernon RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk.
The driver was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital by emergency services personnel for precaution. Police said he was doing well.
The bike was towed away from the scene.
There was no word on the fate of the deer.
The accident Wednesday is at least the fourth involving a motorcyclist on North Okanagan roadways since June.
