Perhaps it was a hankering for bubble gum or chocolate or even plain vanilla, but a Kamloops man could not quell his craving for ice cream until morning.
Just before 8 p.m. on May 10, a suspect reportedly broke into a business on Lorne Street and stole several scoops of ice cream.
The man fled on foot, but apparently, he was not satisfied with his first serving of the delicious treat and returned to the scene of the crime to try for a second helping of dessert.
Two disturbance reports involving the same suspect were also reported on Victoria Street, said Kamloops RCMP.
Police located and arrested a suspect on Lansdowne Street between 5th and 6th Avenues.
“He was lodged in cells to prevent continuation of the offence and released without process, as per the property representatives’ request at the time,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.
