A few changes have been made at a Vernon landmark.

New buildings have been installed at the Vernon Army Camp along Highway 97.

“DND constructed new accommodation and training buildings to replace aging infrastructure in order to provide members of the Canadian Armed Forces and cadets with the best possible facilities to conduct training,” said Ashley Lemire, a media relations office spokesperson at the Department of National Defence.

Some old structures at the camp, near the ballfields, were recently demolished.
