Water utilities in the North Westside area will not be impacted by a power outage Wednesday.

North Westside power outage cancelled because of frigid weather

The work to upgrade the electrical distribution system is now postponed to an undetermined date.

B.C. Hydro has advised that the previously announced planned power outage for Wednesday (today) will not go ahead because of cold weather.

The work to upgrade the electrical distribution system is now postponed to an undetermined date.

“As a result of this work not going ahead, there will not be any impact for customers of the Killiney Beach, Westshore Estates or Upper Fintry-Shalal Road-Valley of the Sun water systems,” said Bruce Smith, with the Regional District of Central Okanagan.
