North Westside property owners will soon receive rural property tax notices from the provincial government in their mail.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan reminds everyone that it does not collect taxes directly and does not accept payment of property taxes.
“Rural property tax notice payments are collected by the province,” said Bruce Smith, RDCO communications officer.
Property owners with questions about their tax notice should contact the provincial Surveyor of Taxes at 1-800-663-7867 and request a transfer to 250-387-0555; by e-mail (ruraltax@gov.bc.ca); or they can go online to the Ministry of Finance website.
Property taxes must be paid by July 4.
