Open house for flood victims

Several evacuation orders rescinded

The Okanagan Indian Band is hosting a town hall meeting for those affected by the floods.

Residents in the area are invited to the Head of the Lake Hall Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30.

The director of the emergency operatiosn centre will give an update on the flood, disaster financial assistance information will be available, as will information on the flood damage debris and sandbag removal program and the Canadian Samaritan Purse response.

Several evacuation orders in the area were rescinded Sunday including: Imitil Road, Jack Road (partial), Louis Estates Road (partial), Whiteman’s Creek, Willowshore Estates (partial) and Saddleman/B. Marchand/D. Marchand beachfront properties (partial).
