A scheduled power outage will take place at Okanagan College’s Vernon campus Friday.
The outage is from noon to 4 p.m. and B.C. Hydro will shut down the power to all campus buildings.
The outage is to accommodate electrical services required for the new trades facilities currently under construction.
Arrangements have been made for alternate classrooms on campus for Camp OC, which will remain operational. Existing external room rentals will also be accommodated.
It is advised that those who have scheduled activities on campus Friday afternoon contact 250-545-7291 to confirm classroom locations.
The college’s emergency generator will be operating, and critical information technology services components, essential power, and life safety systems will not be affected, according to OC.
