Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce executive director Patti Noonan won a provincial award on the weekend.

Patti Noonan came home from the B.C. Chamber Executives’ annual general meeting in New Westminster with something extra.

The executive director of the Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce was recognized by her peers with the Gerry Frederick Memorial Executive of the Year Award.

The award is presented annually to a chamber executive who has made a difference in their community, fostered membership growth in the chamber and has been willing to take risks to achieve change.

The award also recognizes an executive who has served as a champion of the chamber network, as a mentor to new executives and deemed to be a leader by their peers and their chamber.

“Patti is an example of a truly dedicated individual who enriches not just her chamber and her community but, on a personal level, the lives of her members, staff, colleagues and friends,” said Alan Asaph, B.C. Chamber Executive president.

“It has been an extreme pleasure for me to work with, and be inspired by, someone like her.”
