Volunteers in Lake Country plan to roll up their sleeves and beautify a recreation corridor.
At 10 a.m. today, there will be community clean-up along Pelmewash Parkway along Wood Lake, as well as part of Oyama Road.
“It’s extremely encouraging to see the huge community spirit from such a wide variety of residents this year,” said Rae Stewart, with the Regional District of Central Okanagan.
Among those participating are George Elliot Secondary School, the Oceola Fish and Game Club, Walk Around Lake Country, Oyama Traditional School, the District of Lake Country, Gatzke Orchards, Interior Land Reclamation, the Fresh Outlook Foundation and the Ruff n’ It Doggy Spa.
It’s all part of the Community 20 Minute Make Over and the official kick-start to April’s Community Clean-Up Month.
