PHOTOS: Kal Secondary celebrates grad

The Grade 12 students had their photo taken on the iconic Kal Beach docks

It’s graduation season across the Northern Okanagan. Schools from around Vernon have been celebrating with official graduation photos.

Kalamalka Secondary School was on the dock on Kal Lake, Thursday, June 15, for their annual graduation photo.

Hundreds of smiling kids were dressed up in their caps and gowns. Despite the smoky skies, the students were willing and cooperative.

Kal was the fourth North Okanagan school to have their pictures done, after A.L. Fortune, Pleasant Valley and Charles Bloom.

On Wednesday, June 22, three more schools will have their official shots done. W.L. Seaton will be at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre for theirs, while VSS and Fulton will be snapped on the front steps of their respective schools.

Finally, Vernon Christian School will head out to O’Keefe Ranch for a photo Friday, June 23, at 3 p.m.
