Pipe break cuts off water to some Vernon residents

Francis Street repairs underway

It will be hours before some Vernon residents have water.

City utility crews are repairing a water main break in the 2900 block of Francis Street Thursday, Feb. 11.

Water service has been interrupted for approximately 10 properties in the area.

Crews anticipate the repairs will take approximately four to five hours to complete.

“For the safety of workers and the public, Francis Street is temporarily closed to traffic between 25th Avenue and Black Rock Road, with the exception of local traffic,” the city said

“The City apologizes for any inconvenience this interruption may cause and appreciates the public’s patience while repairs are being made. Updates will be provided as they become available.”
