Police found sophisticated grow op in Lake Country residence

Man and woman facing numerous charges as a result of investigation

RCMP continue to target drug production in Lake Country.

On Thursday, officers searched a home in the 12800 block of Lake Hill Drive and they located a recently harvested marijuana grow operation.

“They seized over 65 kilograms of drying bud and thousands of dollars in sophisticated growing equipment,” said Cst. Kris Clark, Lake Country RCMP spokesperson.

A 26-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

The couple are facing multiple possible charges including production of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and theft of hydro.
