Shortly before 8:30 p.m., a 2002 Saturn heading southbound suddenly veered off the road.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 32-year-old Oyama man, suffered minor injuries.

The car was demolished in the accident, which remains under investigation.

Traffic was reduced to single-lane alternating traffic while the crash was being cleaned up.
