Public information is being sought after a string of Lake Country thefts.

On Sept. 22 at 11 p.m., the RCMP received a report of a theft from a vehicle in the 11300 block of Bottom Wood Lake Road.

“An unknown man was seen entering a black Toyota Tacoma before fleeing the scene with a small amount of loose change,” said Cst. Kris Clark.

“Since then, there have been at least 10 other reports of a similar nature that police believe could be related. A possible suspect has been identified but police are looking for witnesses that can link him to these or other, previously unreported thefts.”

The suspect is described as Caucasian, 29 or 30 years old, six feet tall and 190 pounds with a medium build a scruffy beard

He was last seen wearing a dark track-style jacket, green shorts and light-coloured sneakers

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect or unreported thefts from vehicles, call the Lake Country RCMP at 250-766-2288.
