Opposition to the Northern Gateway pipeline took to the streets of Vernon Wednesday.

More than 100 people gathered in front of MLA Eric Foster's office to speak out against a proposed oil pipeline in northern B.C.

"We don't want our environment destroyed by oil," said Dianne Perrier, rally organizer.

Many protesters took to the microphone to express their concerns about a pipeline and tanker traffic along B.C.'s coastline.

"It's the largest intact rainforest in the world and we can't risk it," said one man.
