The City of Vernon reports that Okanagan Avenue is currently closed from Fulton Road to South Vernon Drive Thursday morning.
The closure is a result of a small amount of debris from the hillside above Okanagan Avenue being deposited on to the road following Wednesday night’s heavy rainfall and snowmelt.
“City crews are currently completing minor repairs and the road is expected to be reopened by the end of the day,” said Tanya Laing Gahr, the city’s communications officer.
