Two people are facing charges following the latest bust of a North Okanagan marijuana grow operation.
Officers from the Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP detachment executed a search warrant on a property in the 3900 block of Chase Falkland Road in the Falkland area.
“The warrant resulted in the seizure of 394 marijuana plants and two restricted and three non-restricted firearms,” said RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk.
Two people, a man, 52, and a woman, 49, years old were arrested on the property and are expected to face charges of production of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
The pair have been released on a promise to appear in Vernon Provincial Court Dec. 20.
