A 20-year-old Vernon man has been arrested in a dial-a-dope investigation

A 20-year-old Vernon man has been arrested in a dial-a-dope investigation.

Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP conducted an investigation Thursday, April 21 into a suspected drug trafficker.

The investigation led to the arrest of a 20 year old Vernon man and the seizure of an undisclosed amount of heroin packaged for sale along with Canadian currency and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The man has been released for a future court date to face charges of possession of heroin for purpose and trafficking and possession of cocaine. His name is not being released at this time.

RCMP are cracking down on hard drugs in the community.

This is the third dial a dope investigation RCMP have successfully uncovered in the last few months.

“It’s something we have identified as an issue that we’re addressing,” said Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy, RCMP spokesperson.
