City says residents or passersby might notice increased odours over ‘the next few days’

Residents near the Vernon Water Reclamation Centre may experience some unwelcome smells over the next few days.

The city says repairs are underway on one of the wastewater facility’s primary clarifiers, and residents or passersby might notice an odour in the area.

The repairs aren’t expected to impact the facility’s daily operations.

“The city apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates everyone’s understanding while the repairs are being made.”
