Kalamalka Lake Road was turned into a lake Thursday morning.
A fire hydrant was hit at Waddington Drive and 11th Avenue sometime overnight Wednesday.
“Which created a big, giant pool f water on Kalamalka Lake Road,” said RCMP Cpl. Joe Leeson.
“It was about five or six inches deep at one point covering all four lanes.”
The hydrant was reportedly hit by a semi-truck with no injuries. The water pooled primarily near Toro’s Neighbourhood Pub and a B.C. Hydro parking lot. Aside from some soggy shoes, the water didn’t do any damage and was cleaned up by 8 a.m.
