The local Salvation Army Christmas campaign has come to an end and they are proud to announce that they have raised a total of $414,680. Although coming up short from their $500,000 goal, they are extremely pleased with the support of the community.

“First and foremost, we want to thank our community for their tremendous support. The funds that are raised at Christmas not only help out individuals and families during the holiday season but it provides much-needed support all year round,” said Lt. Stefan Reid of The Salvation Army – Vernon.

Although totals were down, programming and support will continue with minimal disruption to the community.

They also remind those that if they wish to donate throughout the year, they can do so by stopping by the House of Hope at 3303 32nd Ave.
